This hotel is next door to the Holiday Inn Select.  (Note about rooms: This is a fairly new hotel and the rooms are nice.  There is no airport transportation so you will need a car or a taxi to get to and from the airport.  It is approximately 2 miles to Hollytree Country Club.)

Kiepersol Estates An elegant "Bed and Breakfast" located about 30 minutes from the Hollytree Country Club.  It is very nice and romantic.  There are only five rooms available so if you're interested, check it out soon.  (903) 894-3300.

Tyler is a two-hour drive East from the Dallas/Fort Worth airport (DFW) or a $180 taxi ride.  One person has actually ridden the Greyhound Bus, but doesn't recommend it. :-)

Tyler is a 90-minute drive West of the Shreveport airport.  

Tyler is a four-hour drive North of Houston/Bush airport.  

You can fly directly into Tyler on American Eagle through DFW or on a Continental subsidiary through Houston.

Advantage has a mid-size car rate of $15.50/day at DFW.

Car rentals at Tyler Pounds Field range from $18/day to $30/day.  Vendors include National, Alamo, and Advantage. You may want to share a car with another participant.  If you stay at the Holiday Inn Select, they will definitely take you to and from the airport and they will sometimes take a group to the dinner. (Note about Pounds Field Car Rentals.  The car rental counters close at 8:30PM.  If you will be later, you must make arrangements with them or you will not get your car.)
